Hello! My name is Mary Andreina Gomez, and I am originally from Venezuela. I am a documentary filmmaker and anthropologist with 17 years of experience in documentary production and direction, as well as in sociocultural and educational projects focused on training in film and human rights. My work has included community and multicultural cinema (andreinagomezfilmsfilmmaker.com)
I moved to the United States nearly eight years ago and, since then, I have dedicated myself to tutoring Spanish for children, adolescents, and adults. I use an independent learning method rooted in multicultural arts, combining creativity to promote Spanish immersion, early childhood education, and ESL (Spanish as a Second Language) instruction for teens and adults. I bring 7 years of professional experience as a tutor and hold a Kaleidoscope Play & Learn certification, endorsed by the Harnett County Partnership for Children.

In 2021, I became a mother, and my son now joins me in this wonderful project. He motivates me every day to continue sharing my Latin culture through our language Spanish which I believe is one of the most powerful legacies of cultures around the world.
